Carmelita Simplis, 55 years old and missing
The family of a Belize City woman, who went missing on Monday morning, is asking the public for help in locating her. Fifty-five year old Carmelita Simplis, left her home in Ladyville between six and seven o’clock on Monday morning and hasn’t been seen or heard from since. Her daughter, Janine Simplis says they have checked with relatives around the country but they have been unsuccessful in finding Simplis. The family now needs your help to locate this mother.

“She is schizophrenic but it’s not something that occurs fluently you know, but it really, really shocked us because we didn’t know that it would have happened Monday.”

“So just give us a description of how she looks?”

“She is about one hundred and seventy five pounds. She has white roots with black ends. She has a little scar on her eye; I don’t remember if it’s the right or the left eye. She is of dark complexion; Creole descent. She was last seen in a pink blouse with a little white piece and she had on a three quarter pants, I don’t remember the color; with a black and white old navy slippers.”
