Fourteen year old girl missing for one week

Story PictureA Belize City mother is appealing to the public to help locate her missing daughter. Argelia Hernandez says that while she was at work last Friday, fourteen year old Ester Hernandez left her home on Santa Barbara Street, reportedly with her aunt. Argelia told News Five that three days before her daughter disappeared, she had a misunderstanding with her sister over the behaviour of the fourteen year old. According to Argelia, her investigations reveal that the girl and her aunt packed clothes and headed to the bus terminal. She said they planned to go to her mother in Melchor de Mencos. But when she called to check with her mother, she was told they had not been there. So Argelia went looking for her sister and got a strange response from her.

“She said she regrets that she left her at the terminal after she changed her mind about the trip. She said told her to go home but my daughter never came home. The only problems I had with my daughter before that was when she missed two days of summer school. I want my daughter to return home and go back to school.”

Ester attends Anglican Cathedral College and was enrolled for classes starting this week. If you know her whereabouts you’re asked to call the nearest police station.
