Woman disputes burglary facts in Court
We reported on Tuesday about a Mahogany Heights man who was charged for breaking into a neighbor’s house after a failed attempt at getting into another house in the area. But one of the alleged victims is disputing the facts put forward in court by police. The police version is that Paul Parham attempted to enter the home of Marie Neal on Sunday; he was caught and then proceeded to break into the home of Valerie O’Brien where he attempted to rape her. But according to O’Brien, it’s the other way around. She says Parham never got into her house or tried to rape her because she caught him pushing his hand through the window. And while she cannot say what happened when he went to Neal’s house, O’Brien says, when she chased the assailant he fled to the nearby house. She hopes to have the information corrected in the next court appearance on April twenty-sixth. Parham was charged with Burglary and Attempted Burglary and has been remanded to prison.
