Lotto’s Big Winner

A Belize City housewife is the latest Lotto jackpot winner. On Wednesday night, the numbers 05-13-19-27-29 were selected as the winning ticket for the fifty-five thousand dollar jackpot. Cecilia Thurton, the mother of one, told us that she’ll be investing her winnings in her son’s education.

“I was watching the lotto numbers drawn last night.”

“Yes, I’ve been buying since it began and I will keep buying.”

After taxes, Thurton takes home forty six thousand and seven hundred and fifty dollars. The Lotto Office says that the winner of the March twenty-first one hundred twenty seven thousand and five dollars lotto jackpot still hasn’t claimed his or her winnings.
