Taiwanese visa applications must now be done online
The increase in fees for a US Visa application took effect today. And this afternoon, the Taiwanese Embassy also announced changes in the visa application process to travel to the Republic of China (Taiwan). But it’s not an increase in charges, it’s a new system being put in place. According to the embassy, as of April ninth, visa application forms must now be filled out online. The announcement, which originates from the Bureau of Consular Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Taiwan, says that applicants will have to visit the website: visawebapp.boca.gov.tw, to fill out and print their forms. Written applications will no longer be accepted and expired forms will also be rejected. Forms are also to be submitted along with two photos within one month of applying online.
