Suspect detained in Collet Canal fire
Police believe they know what started yesterday’s fire on Collet Canal and have detained a thirty-five year old resident of one of the building’s apartments. Investigations reveal that the thirty-five year old woman in question left her three children, ages three, six, and seven, alone in the apartment and it appears that they set a mattress on fire. The children have been placed with Social Services pending a resolution of the case.
