Two charged for robbery turned shooting

Meanwhile, police have made two arrests following a robbery turned shooting that occurred last weekend. This morning, seventeen year old Devon Saldano and a minor were formally charged with attempted murder, robbery, use of deadly means of harm and dangerous harm. The suspects were arrested following a report by twenty-one year old Ian Gaynair. The victim told police that he was on Wood Street with two friends when two men held them up at gunpoint. Gaynair handed over his cell phone and two hundred dollars in cash, but when his friend refused the robbers’ demand, one of the pair fired a shot which caught Gaynair in his right shoulder. The accused have since been remanded to Hattieville Prison until the sixteenth of July.
