Cayo teen drowns in Mopan River
Details remain sketchy, but a teenager has apparently drowned in the Mopan River near Santa Familia. According to police, around four this afternoon a watchman in the area heard the cries of some boys yelling that they saw someone go under the water and not resurface. The body was recovered and has been identified as a young Hispanic male. Authorities are in the process of making a positive identification.
