“I was so elated. First I didn’t believe. My children said when they called your name you didn’t respond but I never thought I would have done that. I was thinking of someone else so when I saw the other contestant coming to me I was looking at her like astounded. The she said you won, you won. I said really. That was fun, oh I felt so good.”
“Well, I did what I was thought. Miss Birdy really made us do some things and I tried to do it to the best of my ability but I didn’t know I did it so well.”
“I hope I may reign with dignity and please the people from the Y.W.C.A. I want to make them proud and I wan to encourage others to do likewise.”
Sixty-two year old Anita Henry also won the talent competition and Ms. Personality. She has been a nurse for almost forty years and was sponsored by Belize Medical Associates.
