Chain snatching suspect charged following victim’s I.D.

Her assailant may not have remembered what she looked like, but one Belize City crime victim says she recognised the guy who jacked her chain … and now he’s under arrest. According to police, the young lady was walking down Regent Street on February first when a man of East Indian appearance rode up on a bicycle and snatched the gold chain from around her neck. Fast forward three months to Wednesday. While walking down Banak Street she saw a man she believes is the same one who robbed her … and quickly called police. Cops promptly arrested nineteen year old Floyd Gladden of Majestic Alley and have charged him with theft. He was remanded to prison when he could not meet the twenty-five hundred dollar bail.
