Old beef ends in attempted murder in Cayo

Meanwhile, a Santa Elena man has been arrested and charged with attempted murder following a stabbing in that municipality. Police reports indicate that around eight thirty on Saturday night, twenty two year old Pedro Melendez was at a shop in Santa Elena when he was attacked by a man armed with a knife. During the scuffle, Melendez was stabbed in his back and left hand. He was transported to the Western Regional hospital where he remains in a serious but stable condition. This afternoon police charged nineteen year old Adolfo Logan with attempted murder and use of deadly harm. Sources indicate the two had an old beef.
