Is UB president leaving school?

Word out of Belmopan tonight is that Corinth Morter-Lewis and the University of Belize are parting ways. According to the rumour mill, Santos Mahung will be replacing Morter-Lewis as President of U.B. But for now the rumour will remain just that, as U.B. board chairman Dr. Louis Zabaneh, Morter-Lewis, Mahung, and even public relations officer in the Ministry of Education Rafael Sosa are all out of the country and therefore unavailable for comment. Our attempts to reach Minister of Education Francis Fonseca for a response were also unsuccessful. Morter Lewis has served as President of U.B. since January 2004.
