Prime Minister’s son appointed a Senator
Earlier we told you that Anwar Barrow was a member of the new Telemedia Board, but before that, in Belmopan, when the Senate debate got underway, Barrow was named Senator. While Barrow did not make his maiden speech on the merits of the bill, he did vote to support its passage. There has been speculation of his appointment to the Senate for some time, but we do note that today’s appointment was provisional to fill in for Pulcheria Teul, the senator from the south. Last week, Justice Denys Barrow, the brother of the PM, was named as a Judge on the Court of Appeal.
