San Narcisso bar fight ends in death
In police news, a twenty-nine year old man remains in custody at the Corozal police station tonight following a fatal fight that claimed the life of another man. According to the authorities, around ten on Sunday night thirty-nine year old Nolberto Martinez was out socializing at a bar in San Narcisso Village, when he started to quarrel with another person. During the scuffle, Martinez fell and hit his head on the cement floor. As he lay on the ground bleeding, his attacker continued to rain down a hail of blows. When onlookers finally parted the men, Martinez was unconscious. He was rushed to the Northern Regional Hospital but doctors there pronounced him dead on arrival. Police sources in Corozal say both men were inebriated at the time of the fight.
