P.G. woman dies in freak bus accident

A young woman is dead tonight following a bizarre accident in the Toledo district. According to police reports, around twelve-thirty this afternoon twenty-six year old Doris Cal missed the bus to San Antonio Village so she decided to take the one going to San Jose. But on the road, Cal’s bus caught up with the first and the desperate young woman decided to try her luck. Witnesses say Cal got off the San Jose bus, but the first vehicle was still moving so she started to run to catch up with it. Soon after she started running, the young woman lost her footing and fell hard, sustaining a severe head injury. Cal was rushed to the Punta Gorda hospital, but died an hour later while undergoing treatment.
