Corozal woman charged with brother’s murder

A woman accused of fatally stabbing her brother has been arrested and charged with the crime. According to Corozal police, twenty-one year old Tiffara Smith of a Second Street address has been charged with the murder of her eighteen year old sibling, Dale Anthony Lino. Investigators say around two last Thursday afternoon, the deceased and Smith became involved in a heated altercation. During the scuffle, it is alleged that Smith pulled out a kitchen knife and stabbed Lino in the chest. A post mortem has since revealed that the weapon punctured Lino’s heart. The accused appeared before Magistrate Leslie Hamilton on Tuesday morning and has since been remanded to Hattieville Prison. Smith is scheduled to reappear in court on the tenth of May.
