Thief gets locked up before school opens

Story PictureTurning to the courts, an eighteen year old, who was expected to start school at ITVET to take up a trade, is behind bars tonight after he stole an elderly man’s cash. Michael Orlando Malic of Taylor’s Alley was charged with Robbery and Wounding in Magistrates’ Court today because he allegedly attacked seventy-six year old Rafael Rosa and stole a hundred and fifty dollars from him. The incident occurred last Friday night and Malic was arrested shortly after. He appeared before Magistrate Tracy Sosa, pleaded not guilty to the charges and claimed that he was with his mother at the time of the assault. Malic told the court that people in the area don’t like him and are making up stories about him. He was granted bail of four thousand dollars. But Malic couldn’t scrape up the cash and was been remanded to the Hattieville Prison until October thirteenth.
