B.T.L. introduces new international Webtalk service

Story PictureIn December, B.T.L. launched its voice over internet protocol programme called Webtalk, with which people living in Belize can make cheaper calls to places all over the world using their computer. This week the company took it a step further, launching an international version targeting local travellers and persons living abroad. And according to the company, its rates compare favourably with similar foreign based programmes.

Lisa Stanford, Sr. Marketing Rep., B.T.L.
“We are expanding our customer base, we are allowing people who are customers from Belize who are travelling abroad, when they are abroad, they could go to the Webtalk International website and they could call home using the same service. And also, if you have families who are living in the U.S. they could call Belize for the lowest rates right now and it’s only like nineteen cents U.S. to call Belize.”

“The Webtalk international website address is www.webtalkinternational.com. You go there, you set up your registration, you use your same credit cards that you use for the local and you get credit and then you call your people in Belize or in the country that you are in or other countries.”

Linette Canto, P.R. Executive, B.T.L.
“B.T.L. is very proud of this new service. It’s the first time that we are going internationally, competing on the international market. There are many reasons I believe why people should choose Webtalk International. If you are an international customer with no affiliation to Belize whatsoever it’s also a good option for calling internationally because our rates are very competitive and in some instances, such as the case of the Bahamas, U.K., Trinidad and Tobago, Taiwan, our rates are actually lower than some of the other foreign service providers.”

The Webtalk International website is only available outside of Belize.
