Charles and Hirian’s protest come to a ‘good’ end

Story PictureAfter spending the whole weekend and a total of five days of protest in front of the Supreme Court in Belize City, the appeals of Hirian and Charles Good have been answered. The husband and wife duo were petitioning the government to revoke the decision made by Minister Patrick Faber who dismissed Hirian from her school warden duties due to her political affiliations. Today in Belmopan News Five caught up with the Goods who were pleased to say that help has come through for them.

Capt. Charles Good, Received Employment Opportunity
“All the efforts have paid off and the Prime Minister and Mr. Finnegan, I think he initiated what happened. We are friends and he initiated everything. He made an offer to my wife and we spoke about it and yes, I did mention some principles involved and so forth.”

Marion Ali
“Can you say what the offers were?”

Charles Good
“Really, as I say, thing noh sink in but you gotta give and take and I am happy so far in these trying times.”

Prime Minister Dean Barrow
“I believe Mr. Good is extremely happy with what was worked out for him. The Minister of Housing was the one who called me on Friday to make the appeal on the basis of the fact that he and I have known Mr. Good for years and years as a sportsman, as a soldier, as somebody who has served this country.”
