New Delta route will connect Belize and L.A.
It may not amount to a whole lot of seats but Belizeans who want to travel to Los Angeles this summer will have an easier time, thanks to a new route being opened by Delta Airlines. According to a Delta press release, beginning June ninth, the airline will fly once each week between L.A. and Belize City. The flight will leave California at eleven fifty-nine each Saturday night and arrive at the P.G.I.A. in time to wake to the roosters at five twenty-four Sunday morning. The return flight will leave Belize at seven-thirty a.m. arriving in the City of Angels at eleven-fifteen local time. It is not known if local airlines will adjust their schedules to service tourists using the new weekly route or whether Delta plans to maintain the service following the end of the peak local travel season in early September. An introductory one-way fare of two hundred and twenty-nine U.S. dollars has been announced for those who book by March twenty-first.
