Boat show proceeds to benefit Rotary’s Gift of Life

Story PictureThis weekend the Rotary Club of Belize will be hosting its second annual Boat show and sale. The event is the organization’s biggest fund raising drive with proceeds dedicated to the club’s Gift of Life Programme. The Gift of Life initiative makes it possible for needy children to receive life saving heart operations abroad. According to Rotarian Francis Woods the show gets underway from nine on Saturday morning at Old Belize Marina at mile five on the Western Highway.

Francis Woods, Rotarian
“We are really excited about it this year. It has grown. We have quite a lot more boats to sell. There is about nine of them that will be going in the auction at two p.m. on Sunday. It is a two-day show so if you cannot make it on Saturday then you can make it on Sunday. It opens from nine in the morning and will go on until about five in the evening. There’s lot of deals here, we have boats from six thousand, six hundred dollars all the way up to a hundred thousand dollars. We have Suzuki, Yamaha, Mariner outboards; the dealers are here with brand new motors. Cummins dealer, we have the Caterpillar diesel engine, Gentrac is out here, and we have a lot of used outboards and used marine parts for sale.”
