Day number 3 for school warden’s protest
Today is day three of Charles and Hirian Good’s protest in front of the Supreme Court in Belize City. Hirian still wants her job back as a school warden at Trinity Methodist School. The Goods were out last night protesting and in fact, Charles spent the entire night on Regent Street. The Goods continued their vigil today and were joined at intervals by members of the public. Charles says he’s not ready to give up.

Ret. Captain Charles Good
“We are not begging no one and most of all sacrifices has to be made in these instances. It is not only for ourselves, but for others. People gotta wake up. You ask me about my heart, you ask her how she feels; these are sacrifices we are making and we must expect these things when you’re going up against the status quo. And life sometimes it’s lost but for a good cause. This is a cause and I am happy we have all the support of many people from different people from different walks of life and this if good. This is a beginning. This is how we should organize for one common good.”
The Good Family has received some assistance from the Social Security Board, B.N.T.U. and some concerned persons. SSB in fact will sponsor the school fees for one of the children. Hirian claims she was fired as a warden for political reasons.
