Car burns in King’s Park

Story PictureA King’s Park resident is without his car tonight as around five-thirty this evening it literally went up in smoke. Eduardo Castillo, a friend of the owner, explains what happened.

“First, I see this car just start to smoke inside right. And me and the owner, Martin Martinez, we just come and remove the battery pole. It just mi di smoke a lee bit and we just open the door and left it mek … We decide that maybe it’s just a small short. We went back cross the street and a guy call us and tell us the car continue to smoke. So we come back and look underneath the car and see it di smoke from under the dashboard, so we gone cross to the Chiney man and ask ah if he have an extinguisher to lend we. The guy lend us the extinguisher and we come and we spray it, but the extinguisher run out pan we and after that we start to really see the fire now. I called the fire station and in a jiffy they was here, but within that time the car just start to burn up inside and when these guys came they just put the water on it and out it.”
