Third party makes debut in Toledo
And speaking of politics, on Sunday in the village of San Antonio, Toledo, the People’s National Party made its debut. Toledo East and West candidates, Wil Maheia and Dionicio Choc made their inaugural entrance and by all accounts, a good time was had by all. As has become the norm for third parties–not to mention first and second parties–the speeches were long on lofty promises but short on details of how these noble ideas would be implemented. According to P.N.P. leader Maheia, discussions are underway with the Belmopan based V.I.P. party with an aim to work together and not run opposing candidates in any constituency.
