Week 5 of the PLB Season took us to Orange Walk yesterday where a struggling Juventus Ball Club played host to an unpredictable San Pedro Seadogs at the Louisiana Football Field as both teams looked to improve their lot. Suiting up for the Sugar City team today is Norman Tilliman Nunez Pipersburgh, a player who was certainly a big part of the club in its hay day about a decade ago. Today O.W. expects him to help stop the downward slide that has the story so far this year.

Some 20 minutes into the action, Norman Pipersburgh comes through with this nice pass that somehow gets past the San Pedro left back Michael Rowland; Michael Whittaker collects and then beats the keeper Alden Augustine to give Juventus the 1-zip lead. The Seadogs look for the equalizer when Everette Genus mounts this individual effort to fire off this right foot shot that is handled by the O.W. Keeper, Rugerie Trejo. At the other end, Othoniel Sandoval tries to double the Juventus lead with this offering but Alden Augustine handles the situation. After intermission, Michael Whittaker gets this nice feed off the right wing but fails to score his 2nd goal of the match because of this fine defensive effort from Augustine. The veteran, Tilliman, then launches this left foot end inches outside the sticks.

Nevertheless, San Pedro continues to press for an equalizer so Edilberto Caliz tries to sneak in this shot but it inches outside the goal. Meanwhile folks, this is the Seadogs best chance to tie when Francisco Noralez fires this left foot goal. Trejo taps it out to Francisco Reyes who should have done better with this opportunity. In the waning moments of this ballgame, Francisco Noralez tries to force the tie with this effort but is denied by goalkeeper Trejo. Juventus goes on to post the 1-zip win.

The Stars came right back thanks to this effort by Nayala Tun. And then this serve by Nandi Woods completes the 25-20 win for Stars. In the 2nd set, Honeybees came out fast thanks to Maurissa Williams who gets things going. However, Nandi Woods powers her team back into the game with this move.
