Five cruise ships create major traffic snarls
If you spent what seems like hours stuck in Belize City traffic today, rest assured you were not alone. It seems that a combination of five cruise ships in the harbour, and a whole lot of Belizeans heading out for a Valentine’s lunch resulted in major gridlock on the narrow streets of the old capital. But at least the weather was pleasant and by mid-afternoon the tourists had returned to their floating hotels and the Valentine’s crowd did whatever it is you do after a romantic lunch on February fourteenth.
