Shooting victim checks himself out of hospital
A man who was shot in the head not only survived the attack but has discharged himself from the hospital. Police say that on Tuesday night, they visited the K.H.M.H. where they found twenty-three year old Anthony Crawford suffering from gunshot injuries to the left side of his face and back of the head. Because of the victim’s condition the police could not extract any information from him.
This morning, however, when the officers returned to the hospital to interview Crawford they were informed that the patient had already left of his own volition. Authorities say all they know is that around eight-thirty last night Crawford was standing at a shop at the corner of Central American Boulevard and Iguana Street when three masked men armed with handguns, approached him. One of them hit Crawford in the face with the weapon and fired a single shot which caught the Rasta Street resident in the back of the head and exited the left side of his face. As Crawford dropped to the ground the gunmen ran off.
Today police say they have neither motive, victim nor suspects but are asking anyone with information to please contact the nearest station.
