Succotz drummers claim Bandfest title

A capacity crowd jammed the Marion Jones Sporting Complex Saturday afternoon for the second annual band fest. A total of fifteen bands from five districts competed in the all day event which began in front of Gwen Lizarraga High. In the end, the judges agreed that when it comes to marching, the best comes from the west.

Mount Carmel was also declared the winner in the Elementary Schools category. Three bands from Honduras, Guatemala, and Mexico also took part in the event but not the competition.
