Thieves caught red handed stealing computer
Two young Belize City men are tonight behind bars after they were caught red handed stealing a computer. According to computer repairman Michael Sanchez, around three-fifteen this afternoon he was working at Strukture Architects on Newtown Barracks when he was informed that two men were breaking into his vehicle in the company’s parking lot. By the time the businessman raced outside, the thieves were making off in their getaway car with Sanchez’s computer on the backseat. Sanchez says he jumped in front of the car, stopping it long enough for Strukture’s Julius Espat to arrive with his licensed handgun. Together Sanchez and Espat detained the duo until the police arrived and took them into custody. The accused are twenty-two year old Leon Blease and nineteen year old Richard Spence, both of Conch Shell Bay. They have since been arrested and charged with theft from motor vehicle and damage to property.
