Man tells court 91.1 grams of cannabis was for personal use
And Roberto Galvez told the court today: “I want to plea guilty to possession simplicita because I never had weed to sell to any one it was for my personal use.” With that the fifty-seven year-old father of Castle Street, was fined three thousand dollars for the Drug Trafficking of ninety-one point three grams of cannabis. He was never actually caught with the alleged bag of weed but according to police, keen observation and quick action led them to Galvez. While on mobile patrol in the Castle Street this past Tuesday, the cops saw Galvez throwing a plastic bag over a fence. When the bag was retrieved, it contained the cannabis. Galvez re-appeared before Magistrate Albert Hoare and was ordered to pay five hundred dollars of the three thousand dollar fine forthwith. The repeat offender was unable to pay the fine and according to records he still owes the court another one thousand five hundred dollars. He has a long wrap sheet with as many as four convictions for drug trafficking.
