Former school warden continues to protest
The saga of the Good family continued today. The Belize National Teachers Union issued a release today that condemns the firing of Hirian Good from her job as a school warden for Trinity Methodist School. The B.N.T.U. release called on Minister of Education, Patrick Faber, to reconsider his decision to terminate her employment at the school. Hirian voted for and received her job from former Minister of Education, Francis Fonseca and that was the reason why she says she was fired. Good and her husband Charles, picketed in front of the Supreme Court in Belize City on Wednesday. During their protest, an officer roughed up Mr. Good and he was knocked over unconscious and consequently hospitalized at the K.H.M.H. for most of the day. The jobless couple, who need funds to pay registration fees for their four children in high school were back out in front of the Supreme Court today.
