Only grass safe; stealing lumber and plywood from the house

It has also been dangerous in the old capital where burglaries and thefts are on the rise and the perpetrators are getting younger. Burglars aren’t only targeting the items in your home; they are also going after the walls. According to Ewarth Sutherland, he left plywood and two by four strips of wood attached to the ceiling as he had just cast the roof of the house on Haulz Street in Belize City. That was on Friday October nineteenth, but when he returned on Tuesday, sixteen sheets of four by eight plywood and thirty pieces of two by four lumber were missing from the house. Police officers have recovered only two of the four by eight plywood and ten strips of two by four lumber. A nineteen year old and a thirteen year old have been detained for questioning, and officers are seeking a third suspect to question about the theft.
