No bail for accused multiple armed robber
A Belize City man has been charged with a string of robberies that have left five people poorer, and one of them with stab wounds. Twenty-two year old Jarret Crawford, a resident of Raccoon Street, appeared today before Chief Magistrate Margaret Gabb where the five Robbery and one Wounding counts were read. The four separate incidents occurred on January fourth, ninth, eleventh and thirteenth and involved the use of a knife to jack bicycles, jewellery, cell phones and cash. Crawford’s problem was that in four of the incidents the victims recognized him and reported his identity to police. Crawford pled not guilty to all charges. Bail was denied, however, and he was remanded to prison until his next court date.
