Councillor donates to Haven House, encourages others
While it may be too late for Keisha Sutherland, there is help available for abused women who do not want to end up as a statistic on a police report. One of the most important sources of aid is called Haven House, an anonymous home where women who need to leave an unsafe situation can find temporary shelter and support. Today Belize City Councillor Anthony Michael made a personal donation of five hundred dollars to Haven House–and encouraged others to do the same.
