Services for domestic abuse victims underused

With the nation still in shock over the accumulated savagery of three domestic murders in two weeks, we are not only forced to ask ourselves why such acts of violence are occurring … but what can we do to prevent them.

Twenty-eight year old Keisha Sutherland, twenty seven year old Anna Basto and twenty eight year old Karel Ogaldez Gabourel were not only all women in their late twenties who were viciously murdered by someone they loved but they were also mothers of young children. Those children, now being cared for by relatives, will need all the help they can get.
