Police still searching for killer
Twenty-nine year old Louie Ganzie Gentle remains on the run tonight, thirty-six hours after he savagely stabbed twenty-eight year old Keisha Sutherland fifteen times in front of the mother’s two young children. The police have issued an all points bulletin and informed border points and police stations nationwide to be on the lookout for the country’s most wanted man. According to authorities, they have made several checks at locations they know Ganzie frequented but so far there have been no leads regarding the suspect’s whereabouts. Because Ganzie has relatives living in southern Belize the police believe he may be heading in that direction. Authorities would not confirm reports to News Five that shortly after the crime a team of officers visited Ganzie’s city residence in the hope of finding the suspect but Ganzie was nowhere to be found. We understand that they recovered his passport and other identification papers. Keisha Sutherland’s dying body was discovered early Tuesday morning by her sixty-three year old grandmother who witnessed Ganzie leaving the house on his bicycle. The couple had a stormy nine year relationship. It is believed that Keisha was murdered following an argument over money and her revelation that she intended to leave the relationship.
Louie Ganzie Gentle is not the only man on the run tonight. Police are also looking for twenty year old Telswin Lara. Lara, a resident of Belize City, is wanted by police as a suspect in last week’s stabbing death of Barrington Logan. He is described as armed and dangerous and anyone knowing of Lara’s whereabouts is asked to please call the nearest police station.
