Woman missing for month; family fears murder

Tonight police and the family of a missing Belize City woman are seeking the public’s assistance. According to relatives of fifty-six year old Janet Rivers Myvette, she left her home on Berry Street on December third and has not been seen or heard from since. About a week before her departure, Myvette’s family says she was robbed of over sixteen thousand dollars in cash and jewellery, money which she was saving up to build her house. They are not sure if the theft has anything to do with her disappearance, but with the police having no leads and Myvette being gone a month, they are fearing the worst.
