New Year
For sports fans, the New Year’s Day Cycling Classic kicks off the year’s calendar of races. The 2007 edition promises to attract more than a hundred elite, female and junior riders, and in an attempt to keep things organized on the road, coordinators have colluded with the Belize Police Department to shut down the Northern Highway during the race. It’s an unprecedented move but one that organizer John Swift says has become necessary.
