Police recover drugs in Belize City
On Monday afternoon, at about three o’clock, a team of Special Branch officers, assisted by the K-9 Unit, came across a large crocus sack containing over thirteen pounds of cannabis in an abandoned lot on Faber’s Road Extension. The drugs were concealed inside fifty-three individual plastic bags. No one was found in the immediate vicinity and the drugs were labeled found property. Meanwhile, thirty-eight year old Curtis York, an electrician of a Flamboyant Street address, has been arrested and charged for drug trafficking after being found in possession of a hundred and eighty-seven grams of cannabis. The drugs were found inside a milk pan at his residence.
