P.M. emphasises need for order and justice to police recruits

Today the institution that represents an important part of the overall equation introduced its newest members. News Five’s Janelle Chanona braved the inclement weather to watch them shine.

With their first official march across the Arthur Adolphus Parade Square, this afternoon the men and women of recruit squad number eighty-two graduated from the National Police Training Academy.

After five months of intensive training in areas such as physical education, prosecution, weaponry and public relations, today six members of the class: Maximilano Lanza, Kristy Avila, Warren Simmons, Jane Usher, Carlos Galvez Junior and Morris Castillo were awarded for their excellent performance.

Receiving the prestigious Baton of Honour this afternoon was Police Constable Jermaine Hyde Senior who delivered the valedictory address to his fellow recruits.
