S.J.C. student takes top C.X.C. honours

The Ministry of Education has announced Belize’s top performer in the most recent C.X.C. exams. He is Ian Lizarraga of St. John’s College. Lizarraga obtained ten grade ones at the general proficiency level and two grade twos. He also won individual subject awards in three categories. The second highest scorer was Aimee Flores of St. Catherine Academy. Flores attained ten grade ones. She also received five individuals subject awards.

For only the third time, a Belizean has won a regional award. He is Jia Wu of S.J.C. who was cited for the most outstanding performance in visual arts. Wu will receive his recognition at a ceremony in St. Kitts on November thirtieth. The national C.X.C. awards will be presented on November twenty-third.
