School burglar sentenced to eight years
A Belize City man caught red handed breaking into a school has been sentenced to spend the next eight years behind bars. According to police, around ten on Saturday morning they responded to reports of a burglary at the Holy Redeemer primary school on North Front Street. Officers say when they searched the ground floor of the one of the buildings, they found thirty-four year old Dale Lino Robinson trying to hide in one of the classrooms. The accused was arrested and subsequently charged with Burglary. Robinson appeared before Chief Magistrate Herbert Lord where he pled guilty on the basis of a cocaine habit and requested rehabilitation. Lord then ordered Robinson to spend the next eight years at Hattieville Prison where he will get help to kick his habit from the Kolbe Foundation’s drug treatment programme.
