Murder victim remains unidentified

Tonight police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a murder victim. According to the police, on Sunday night officers in Ladyville received reports of a body lying on the side of the road at mile ten on the Northern Highway. But when the investigators arrived at the scene near Ladyville Technical High, all they found were blood stains. A check with hospital authorities later revealed that earlier that night a man suffering from multiple stab wounds to the chest, had been dropped off at the K.H.M.H. by an unidentified person. The victim, identified only as Jaime, died while undergoing treatment. Subsequent investigations have led to the detention of a forty-five year old Ladyville resident for questioning. It is believed the detainee was drinking with the deceased earlier in the day. Police are asking anyone with information on Jaime’s full identity to please call the nearest station or Crime Stoppers. A post-mortem is scheduled for tomorrow.
