Ride-by shooting puts two victims in hospital

Two people are in the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital after they were shot last night in Belize City. The incident happened shortly before eight on the street in front of a Neal’s Pen Road residence. News Five understands that twenty-four year old Darren Dawson and his twenty-seven year old sister, Shanda Dawson, were standing outside the house when a youth rode past on a bicycle and opened fire. Darren was hit in the neck while Shanda was shot in the thigh. After undergoing operations, both are listed in stable condition. Police have not established a motive as both victims are not known as trouble makers. However, police investigations continue but are looking for one suspect.
