Bystander wounded in city shooting
A Belize City mother is tonight recovering from gunshot wounds at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital following a shooting incident earlier today. According to police reports, twenty-nine year old Denise Flowers was wounded in the right side of her abdomen by one of two men on bicycles near the Queen Square Market. Flowers was rushed to the K.H.M.H. for emergency treatment and was out of surgery by twelve thirty. Her doctors say the prognosis is positive. This afternoon, Andrea Tucker told us her sister was simply in the wrong place at the wrong time.
