Court of Appeal reverses another sexual assault conviction
Another man convicted of sexual assault has been freed by the Court of Appeal. Kevin Cadle, convicted of Carnal Knowledge and sentenced to six years in prison, was released from custody after the court cited numerous errors on the part of the trial judge, Justice Troadio Gonzales. These involve openly disparaging the defendant’s case, including an alibi he offered and a statement from the dock. Cadle, age twenty-six at the time, was accused of having consensual sex with a fourteen year old in November of 2003 in Independence Village.
