Gang takes bike, shoots owner in abdomen

According to thirty-seven year old Marcial Toledo, around ten on Sunday night he was heading to his Vernon Street home when six men approached him and ordered him to hand over his beach cruiser. Toledo put up a fight and during the struggle one of the assailants pulled out a handgun and shot him at close range. The perpetrators then took off with the guard’s bike. Toledo was rushed to the K.H.M.H. and tonight doctors list his condition as serious but stable. Up to news time, no arrests had been made in connection with the attack.
