Police make short work of city robbery
A pair of suspected robbers did not have much time to savour their success Tuesday night, as their crime spree ended almost before it began. The action unfolded outside a drinking establishment situated on West Collet Canal. Twenty-four year old Richard White told authorities that he was inside the bar around four thirty on Tuesday evening when two men he was able to identify as twenty-four year old Kent Skeet and thirty-five year old Will Lauriano approached him. According to White, as one of the men grabbed his shirt the accomplice grabbed his Motorola cellular phone valued at four hundred and sixty-five dollars. Both Skeet and Lauriano then made a run for it but at that same time a police mobile patrol was in the area and it did not take long for White to grab their attention. The cops pursued the pair and both Skeet and Lauriano were caught, arrested and charged for the crime of robbery.
