Would be robbers scared off by customers
In the second case, last Thursday, grocer Ciu Feng Dal was minding her counter inside Ying’s Store on George Price Boulevard when two men walked in and requested a pound of rice. As Ciu turned her back, one man grabbed her by the neck while his friend covered her mouth. Lucky for Ciu, at that moment, other customers walked in and sounded the alarm. They made such a ruckus that Ciu’s attackers took off. Eighteen year old Lawrence Bernardez and two fourteen year old minors have since been arrested and charged with the crimes of attempted robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery.
