Gerald Westby, Commissioner of Police
?We have had two officers being elevated to Senior Superintendent, five to superintendent of police, seven to assistant superintendent and seven to inspector. We are also looking at the sergeant and corporals to make some promotions similar to them. But we have this meeting this morning to inform the officers, the newly promoted, along with the senior leadership, that with promotion, we expect improved service to the public. Promotion is not for you to sit back it?s for us to work even harder and that is the message we want to get here today. I would like to on behalf of the Minister, C.E.O. to congratulate those who have been promoted.?
Superintendent Russell Blackett
?I think when we police from the vision of a Godly vision, showing total interest and honesty toward the public, then we will be working hand in hand with them and again, honesty. We must win the public by winning their hearts, working for them. We are not working for the bad people in this country. We are working for the goodness of this nation.?
Janelle Chanona, Reporting
?What do you think this does for the other women below you??
Inspector Corrine Jacobs
?I think it motivates them a lot. Because since I got this promotion a lot of them have been calling me and congratulating me and they said to me … it?s long deserved.?
